What is Mole Removal?
Mole removal is a minor surgical or in-office procedure that safely removes unwanted or concerning moles from the skin. Moles may be removed for medical reasons, such as changes in size, color, or shape, or for cosmetic purposes when they cause irritation.
Depending on the mole’s depth, size, and location, removal may be performed using surgical excision, shave removal, or other methods. When medically indicated, the tissue is often sent for laboratory analysis to ensure there are no abnormal cells. The goal is not only to remove the mole, but to do so thoughtfully, prioritizing healing, minimizing scarring, and preserving your skin’s natural appearance.
