What is a Lip Lift?
A lip lift shortens the space between the base of the nose and the upper lip, known as the philtrum length. By adjusting this space, the upper lip is gently elevated, increasing the visible pink portion of the lip and improving tooth show at rest and when smiling.
A lip lift repositions existing tissue, creating the appearance of a fuller, more defined upper lip without adding bulk or weight to the mouth.
During a lip lift, a small amount of skin is removed from beneath the nose. The incision is placed along the natural contours of the nostrils, where it heals discreetly.
In select patients, Dr. Tiffany Pham may also incorporate a corner lip lift to elevate the outer corners of the mouth subtly. This can improve downturned corners and create a softer, more refreshed expression while maintaining natural balance and movement.
Dr. Tiffany Pham will design the lift based on facial proportions, nasal shape, lip anatomy, and mouth movement during expression.
